Automating User Creation and Updates
In the Creating internal and external users section, earlier in this chapter, you reviewed different methods for adding internal and external users to your Captivate Prime account. These methods work well and may be all you need, but they have some serious limitations, especially for larger organizations and multinational corporations.
- First, many organizations already have directories where all the user data Captivate Prime needs is available. Therefore, it makes little sense to duplicate this data in the Captivate Prime account. For many organizations, importing existing data from whatever system is used in the organization is probably a far better approach.
- Creating users is one thing, but maintaining the user list over time is a completely different challenge. Employees are constantly joining and leaving the organization, people change roles, departments, or locations, managers change positions, new teams are created, and old teams...
