The future of Kubernetes
While nobody can predict the future for sure, we can forecast a few things about Kubernetes based on the present technology adoption data and the pipeline work in progress in this ecosystem. As we learned in Chapter 7, Orchestrating Containers across Clouds with Tanzu Kubernetes Grid, in relation to Tanzu Kubernetes Grid, the adoption of Kubernetes has reached unprecedented heights in the last 2 years. It has become home to most newly developed and many legacy applications. It is the new middleware that abstracts the underlying infrastructure, providing true application portability that was not available before the emergence of the containerization of applications.
