Cloud backend deployment and service models
The cloud backend is the cloud section of a system that contains all cloud computing resources, services, storage, and applications offered by a cloud service provider (CSP). Cloud computing is categorized based on deployment models and service models.
Deployment models
A deployment model determines where and how cloud resources are hosted, managed, and accessed. Selecting the right model depends on the specific organization’s policy and needs for control, flexibility, security, and cost. Popular deployment models are public cloud, private cloud, and hybrid cloud. Table 10.1 compares these three cloud deployment models.
