Summary
In this chapter, we used basic modeling tools to create a printable solid geometry. We saw how to use those basic editing tools to put some holes in our solid geometry, and we even walked through a few examples of the kinds of issues you may run into when trying to model solids in SketchUp.
If you followed along with all the steps in this chapter, then you, too, should now be the proud owner of a custom, one-of-a-kind, SketchUp-designed, cheese-themed pencil cup.
Speaking of solids, in the next chapter, Chapter 6, Modeling Using Solid Tools, we will use SketchUp’s Solid Tools to create another printable solid – this time from a photo!
