Having more than one router-view in your page
Having multiple <router-view>
enables you to have pages that can be organized with more complex layouts. For example, you can have a sidebar and the main view. This recipe is all about that.
Getting ready
This recipe doesn't use any advanced concept. You are advised to familiarize yourself with the vue-router and learn how to install it, though. Go to the first recipe in the chapter to find out more.
How to do it…
This recipe will use a lot of code to drive the point home. Don't be discouraged though, the mechanism is really simple.
We will build a second-hand hardware store. We will have a main view and a sidebar; these will be our router-views. The sidebar will contain our shopping list so that we always know what we are shopping for and will have no distractions.
The whole HTML code is quite short because it only contains a title and the two router-view
