One development has skyrocketed over the past few years, also caused by the global pandemic with the outbreak of COVID-19: virtual collaboration. The pandemic was a flywheel for the integrated collaboration between care providers enabled by digital technology.
Without any doubt, better collaboration between various care providers improves the level of care for the patient. This is not only about connecting the patient with the care provider, but also about the interconnection between care providers themselves, even in highly critical environments such as Intensive Care Units (ICUs).
