Storage on Slack
Like any application, Slack has its limits when it comes to how much data it can hold. If your company is functioning 100% online, odds are many, if not all, of your documents exist in a digital format as well. And, while it may be created it one place, it must be shared via Slack to make its way to your team members. As a Slack workspace owner or general member, you deserve to know your options regarding how to maintain this.
Here is the breakdown for storage plans on Slack:
- Free: 5 GB total for the entire workspace
- Standard: 10 GB per member
- Plus: 20 GB per member
- Enterprise Grid: 1 TB (1,000 GB) per member
The space per member is transferred to the total file storage that's shared across the entire workspace. If 10 members are on the Standard plan, the workspace would have 100 GB of storage.
If your workspace reaches its limit throughout your time using Slack, the application will let you know. No, this does not mean total destruction...
