Introduction

Web technologies change and develop every day. The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) creates international standards for the World Wide Web(WWW). Web browsers implement these standards and techniques to create the best user experience for their users. Because people do not always use the newest web browser, CSS developers should support both old and new standards.

Also, browsers may differ and people may use many different types of devices to visit web pages. The recent growth of mobile internet and the overwhelming usage of cell phones and tablets to browse the Internet have given new techniques, such as responsive design, a real boost.

Sass can help you write maintainable and cross-browser CSS code.
