Oracle API Manager overview

Introduction

Oracle API Manager facilitates and streamlines the API Management lifecycle by providing the following capabilities:

• Allows users to easily manage OSB proxy services as APIs

• Generation and management of API keys

• API metadata management

• API publishing, retirement, and deprecation

• API discovery

• API subscription management

• API runtime monitoring and analytics

Note

API Manager is not a development tool, an IDE, or a runtime platform in itself. In short, it is a runtime-governance tool that delivers API lifecycle management capabilities.
