Taking action
To gain self-efficacy, it’s not enough to read, think, or talk about the Four ID Competencies; you need to take action even if it's only one small step at a time. You’ve already completed the first step by reading this book. If you haven’t completed the exercises in the book, circle back and do them now. This is your next step toward your new-found belief in yourself and your competency as an instructional designer. Taking these micro steps will allow you to practice and start believing in yourself and your competency as an instructional designer.
