Creative problem-solving in instructional design
This section will help you to learn how to apply your creativity to problem-solving in instructional design. Remember, creativity in ID often means thinking out of the box and helping your organization or client innovate and problem-solve. Your job as a learning designer is to find novel and applicable learning solutions. Often, this means that you will be going through an iterative, always-improving process in your work. This is creative problem-solving!
If you and your stakeholders have a new problem, you’ll obviously need to find new and different solutions. You can’t keep doing the same thing if there’s an entirely new problem. You’ll need to brainstorm ideas that are creative solutions – otherwise, all you’ll get is incremental (or mediocre) change.
