The Word Clipboard
Many users who are new to Word have no idea that once they've copied something in Word, Word tracks and remembers what was copied for a short while. In fact, if you want to reuse something you've copied recently, you can do so from a feature within Word called the Clipboard.
You can open the Clipboard from your Home tab by clicking on the tiny arrow in the lower right-hand corner of the Clipboard group:
Clicking that button will open the Clipboard pane to the left of your screen:
This pane will display everything you have copied, including text and pictures, and allow you to quickly insert and reuse any copied content again. At the very bottom of the pane, you'll find options for displaying the Clipboard and copying status:
