Third Party Software: working with Plug-ins
I like using plug-ins—third party specialist software apps—that operate from within Elements itself. Don't get me wrong, Elements is a powerful and very capable graphics package but it can never be everything to everyone. When your editing skills develop and your creative horizons broaden, you might find yourself wanting a little extra control over certain processes such as portrait editing, noise removal, sharpening, selections, and even special visual effects. And that's where a plug-in application comes in...
How to install a plug-in
Download the plug-in application and follow the installation instructions. It should take just a few minutes. If, for any reason, auto installation doesn't work, you can install it by physically copying the plug-in from your digital download and pasting it into the specific Plug-Ins folder within the master application itself (at left).
