Scrapbooking Techniques

Scrapbooking, the art of combining photos, clip art, found objects, text, textures, backgrounds, and random objects to tell a story, is both great fun as well as being extremely creative. And it's a cinch to achieve using Photoshop Elements.

So, how do you get started?

Here are the skills needed:

• Adding basic tonal edits to selected photos (i.e. Auto Smart Fix, Levels)
• Cutting bits out of photo using one of the selection tools (Magic Wand and Quick Selection Brush).
• Pasting image elements into a master page (Basic copy and paste)
• Sourcing (free) clip art
• Adding text to the document
• Changing image shapes (Transformation)
• Manipulating Layers
