What is the value proposition of enterprise portfolio planning and adoption in the DevOps 360° evolution?
So far in this book, we have repeatedly mentioned that the DevOps 360° evolution needs to be performed at relevance in a multi-speed context. In this chapter, we will enrich this principle by adding an element of DevOps collective intentionality. We will include this element through the phrase of enterprise alignment and consensus, which we first introduced in Chapter 6, DevOps Software Development Life Cycle 360° Evolution and Engineering. By alignment, we mean the creation of the enterprise mechanism of planning the adoption, while by consensus, we mean certain agreements that need to be made and support the planning and adoption mechanism.
