Removing noise

Noise in audio editing refers to hisses and hums heard on your audio track—not interruptions like a dog barking, or an unwanted voice or word. An example of when we want to use the noise remover filter is where we want to reduce a hissing sound that you can hear throughout your entire recording.

Noise removal as a whole can be very complicated to explain. But in very simple terms, this filter analyzes your audio track after you tell it what you consider "noise" in comparison to all the other sounds. If the "noise" is "heard" the filter silences it in the track without affecting any other sounds. Thus, as implied, noise removal is a two-step process. Let's learn how to do it.
