Architecture Framework – Logical Architecture Best Practices
The need for a more detailed architecture framework will be elaborated upon in this chapter as the logical architecture. As stated in the prior chapter, the framework is documented as a three-level conceptual, logical, and physical architecture, and in this chapter, you will be exposed to the need for a formal way to depict the logical components of the system design that will flow together to implement the capabilities identified at the conceptual level of the design. This will enable you to clearly communicate the to-be state of the IT solution to implementors and vendors.
It also justifies the choices made at the conceptual level where design choices, vendors, and tools were selected after much due diligence. The due diligence process will continue when formulating this logical layer of the architecture. This layer produces an implementable blueprint that is essential to be able to design a solution. It is formulated...
