Beyond Azure Container Apps
We have successfully deployed ACA based on our extended use case. We have seen that it really fits the requirements of our use case. But here we go again: requirements change, customers change, and in this case, the number of customers is changing.
ACA was introduced as the stepping stone to AKS. In this chapter, you will learn that this is exactly what we used it for. However, the term stepping stone does not mean it is just a short-term solution. Sometimes, your solution runs just fine on ACA; there aren’t many changes and there is no reason to migrate to something else. New features are still being added regularly as ACA is quite new. Perhaps, in 2 years’ time, we will run even bigger workloads on ACA. But, it is a platform-as-a-service offering, which means your workloads and configuration are required to be standardized and you need to operate within the constraints of the platform.
