Having learned about the concepts of ns-3 simulation key building blocks and their basic features, you can start working on setting up a variety of network topologies and evaluating their performance systematically. In this chapter, you will learn how to set up and evaluate a wide variety of networks such as LANs, Wi-Fi LANs, heterogeneous LANs, and the internet. As part of these activities, we will discuss how to set up a topology and how to configure necessary protocols on a variety of hosts and suitable interconnecting networking devices.
In this chapter, you will learn how to test connectivity and link speed using suitable network applications on your topologies to evaluate network performance.
