Creating the plants and leaves
Let’s look at how to do this:
- To create plants, first we need to download the leaves reference, which is available at https://github.com/PacktPublishing/3D-Environment-Design-with-Blender/blob/main/chapter-4/Resource-4.1-Leaf-Texture.jpg, and drop it in the 3D Viewport. It will be dropped as an image plane.
- Press N to get the Transform panel on the right side.
- Set the Location and Rotation of X, Y, and Z axes to
0
to have the plane laid down on the Blender grid.
