Basics of text in Affinity Photo
When it comes to text in Affinity Photo, you will find a host of traditional settings, visualizations, and adjustments that you are used to in other popular software; however, as you may know, typography is an area of design that some people specialize in. In this book, I do not seek to make you a typography master but rather show you some of my most frequent techniques used to create text-based images.
Things such as leading tracking, kerning, leading, and baseline will still need to be set and adjusted on a case-by-case and font-by-font basis, so it is important you go through some of the exercises where we adjust the text to make it work.
When it comes to text, there are two distinct tools in Affinity Photo:
