Summary
Data storytelling is an important skill for today's world since many jobs use data to drive results. The ability to convince stakeholders to take the action you think is best can be done by telling a good story with your data. Remember that we looked at the four-part data storytelling framework from Brent Dykes: set up the problem (background) and create a hook for the story, then support the story with rising insights, deliver the main message or insight, and finish up with recommendations or potential paths for future steps. Along with a data story, we can also set up a dashboard. This can be done in many ways, but we looked at using the streamlit
package. We only scratched the surface here – streamlit
has a lot of flexibility and capabilities we didn't touch on. It's recommended to further explore streamlit
and other dashboarding solutions to see what else is possible and which dashboarding solution you like best.
