Defining a template
A BI Publisher Template is a container of data that allows us to represent our chosen data in a meaningful way, depending on requirements. We create a Template definition in Oracle EBS in order to specify which data source (that is, Data Definition) is associated with a specific template file.
Similar to our Data Definition, we create a Template Definition in a few simple steps:
Log on to Oracle Applications
Select the XML Publisher Administrator responsibility
Select the Templates menu option
How to do it...
To create a template, perform the following:
Log in to Oracle with the XML Publisher Administrator responsibility.
Click on the Templates link as shown in the next screenshot (if you are already in the XML Publisher Administrator screen, just click on the Templates tab).
Click on the Create Template button.
Define the template as follows:
