Data stewardship for serving warehouse developers

Although there are many tasks associated with data stewardship for warehouse developers, this section will focus on two important functions: managing a data stewardship committee that provides oversight of the data warehouse, and maintaining and providing data curation files specifically aimed at developers rather than analysts. These two functions will be discussed here.

Managing a data stewardship committee

There are several different stakeholder groups surrounding a data lake or data warehouse. These go beyond the obvious stakeholder groups of analyst users and developers. They also include groups who have a stake in the data system, even if they are not directly connected to the project. Some stakeholders may never log in to the data system.
