Kernel releases and development
The Linux kernel is developed constantly. Each new release offers fixes, improvements, and often new features. As there are too many intermediate versions, not all are transferred to all distributions. Several stable kernel versions are marked as Long-Term Support (LTS) releases. This means that whenever updates or critical fixes are necessary, even though newer versions are out, the older LTS ones will get them. Many FOSS projects offer LTS support, and Linux is famous for keeping its LTS support for four to six years. You can check https://www.kernel.org/category/releases.html and https://www.kernel.org/ for updates. Arch Linux and Manjaro provide a few stable kernel LTS versions and a few recent ones. The easiest way to see them is via the GUI. On Manjaro KDE, it is accessed via the System Settings application (go to the Manjaro | Kernel section).
