NIST Cloud Computing Reference Architecture
NIST provides a generic high-level conceptual reference architecture that goes beyond the simple definitions. NIST lists the main cloud components and their roles in cloud computing and aims to make it easier to comprehend the standards, uses, needs, and traits of cloud computing.
NIST Cloud Computing Architecture defines five major areas as follows:
- Cloud Consumer: Users of cloud provider services, be they a business or individual.
- Cloud Provider: An individual, group, or other entity in charge of providing interested parties with a service.
- Cloud Auditor: An individual or entity able to independently evaluate the performance, security, and information system operations of cloud services and deployment.
- Cloud Broker: An organization that controls how cloud services are used, performed, and delivered as well as mediates disputes between cloud providers and consumers
- Cloud Carrier: An organization that connects cloud...
