Activating and using course discussions
When you take a face-to-face course, informal interactions naturally occur between participants (learners and instructors). Breaks and lunchtimes lend themselves particularly well to these casual encounters. More often than not, discussions that began during the class continue during these breaks, and relevant aspects of the subject matter are often discussed or expanded upon over a coffee, tea, or sandwich.
The ALM equivalent of these informal discussions is the Course Discussions. Each discussion relates to a specific course and is only available to learners enrolled in that course.
