How close can we get to this utopic system?
So far, we have described the contents of an ideal information system, as described by Dominique Vauquier in his seminal book. This assembly of MDM + BRMS + BPM will also be found in some other sources, such as the “sustainable information system” described by the SHIFT project in its approach to the digital transformation toward a more ecologically friendly IT industry, or the Agility Chain Management System (ACMS) approach.
Of course, this is an ideal vision, so the question is not to use it as a blueprint that actual information systems should all be based on, but how close we can get to it when designing new information systems or improving existing ones.
