Making a simple hand cannon
When I was considering what approach to take with projectiles, I reflected on what I enjoyed about my personal experiences with them, which mainly involved video games. One of my favorite games was Mega Man, and what I liked about it was that he utilized the resources in his hands to do a lot of interesting things. It just so happened that one of his hands was a hand cannon.
To be respectful of the idea of guns and their use, which is infrequent in reality, I wanted to approach weapons in a way that felt approachable for everyone. This is something to keep in mind when working on VR experiences since there isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution, but there is a solution for every problem. Projectiles are here to stay, but when creating experiences, some people may not want to use guns all the time, and that’s perfectly fine.
