Configuring a Cisco ASA firewall
In this section, you will deploy a Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) firewall on an enterprise network. You will gain hands-on experience in terms of implementing security levels on each interface, routing, Network Address Translation (NAT), and various IP services.
Before building the lab environment, the following factors are of importance:
- In the lab topology, use a Cisco ASA 5505 firewall, Cisco 2911 routers, and Cisco 2960 switches.
- Use straight-through cables to interconnect each device, as shown in the network diagram in Figure 15.18.
