The asset security domain is one of the most important for cybersecurity as it helps define what you are trying to protect and how much effort you should put into protecting it. This domain is all about assets and their security, how to classify them, how to handle them, and most of all, how to protect them. An asset is defined as anything of value to an organization. This encompasses people, partners, equipment, facilities, reputation, and information. Cybersecurity is typically most concerned with “information” or, more specifically, digital assets.
