Prerequisites for the Digital Twin

To justify investment in the Digital Twin, we should frame the business problem in such a way that the applicability of the Digital Twin is clearly understood. Let's take the example of fuel costs in the trucking industry. Now, let's try to figure out the prerequisites in this context:

  • Business problem: The high cost of fuel for the trucking fleet
  • Business objective: To reduce the cost of fuel without any adverse impact on trucking operations
  • Proposed solution: To build a Digital Twin of the truck(s) or trucking operations and optimize the fuel cost
