What is EKS?
EKS is a Kubernetes service that manages Kubernetes in the AWS cloud and on-premises data centers. EKS manages the Kubernetes control plane nodes for you, which are responsible for scheduling containers, storing cluster data, maintaining application availability, and providing up-to-date information about the cluster.
EKS automatically maintains and scales cluster nodes to effectively run Kubernetes on AWS infrastructure and your infrastructure using AWS Outposts. EKS integrates well with AWS security services, logging, and networking and you can quickly launch Kubernetes worker nodes using EC2 instances or the serverless Fargate offering.
