Technical requirements

We'll use the following tools in this chapter:

  • Visual Studio Code: We'll use this to edit our React code. This can be downloaded from https://code.visualstudio.com/. If you already have this installed, make sure that it is at least version 1.52.
  • Node.js and npm: These can be downloaded from https://nodejs.org/. If you already have these installed, make sure that Node.js is at least version 8.2 and that npm is at least version 5.2.
  • Q&A: We'll start with the Q&A frontend starter project for this chapter. This is the project we finished in Chapter 4, Styling React Components with Emotion. This is available on GitHub at https://github.com/PacktPublishing/ASP.NET-Core-5-and-React-Second-Edition in the chapter-05/start folder.
