Summary
Chapter 13, Bonus: How to Draw and Paint a Figure and Character, is a bonus chapter that expands on other ways of using photo editing tools for drawing and painting.
We briefly demonstrated how those who may have only done photo editing can learn how to draw and paint if they are open-minded and learn how to see rather than assuming what they see.
From that point, we learned that there are a number of ways to get comfortable with drawing, such as starting out drawing very simple objects and subject matter and gradually working your way up to more complex human figures and objects.
We also touched on how technology and the drawing tablet make it easier to get into drawing, and how learning to trace can help with hand-eye coordination.
For the bulk of the chapter, we learned how to take rough sketches and ideas, and we developed them into a finished line drawing that will be the foundation for us to develop a character, by starting with the costume design and creating...
