Josef had explained different application examples of automation over the past few weeks. Being a quick learner, Jacob had begun to understand how automation helps to create the desired features in products. He understood that there are many machines to perform various tasks. He also grasped that many machines are controlled by automation. His curiosity, however, did not abate. Many questions arose in his mind: was it always like this? How were things managed before there was automation? Was there always automation? He chose a leisurely Sunday afternoon to engage in a sort-of philosophical discussion with his father, Josef. After all, Josef was his go-to person for such topics that he could not raise at his place of study.
