Overcoming the control challenge (quantity control – weight or volume)
Unlike the previous motion control and temperature control applications, there are no complex libraries or function blocks that are needed to measure the weight using a strain gauge. It is, however, essential to have a close collaboration between the mechanical and electrical teams in order to overcome this challenge.
While filling high-viscosity fluids, the fluids have higher inertia and there are chances that the fluid continues to flow even after the filling nozzle is shut off. Gravity plays a big role in such applications. Thus, testing such machines is essential to identify the correct filling and calibration of the equipment.
