Overview of applications
As explained earlier in the chapter, there are multiple applications where level control is needed and, if not monitored properly, it leads to spillage, wastage, or drying up. In this section, we will look into specific applications in industry that involve level monitoring and control.
The first application is from the automotive industry, concerning the filling of engines with engine oil.
Overview of the automotive application
In the automotive industry, on the engine assembly line, there is a station for filling engines with engine oil as they are being assembled on a conveyor:
