From SQL Server 2005 until 2016, this has been the new example. We can see it as like Northwind on steroids. In the last official version, AdventureWorks database included 71 user tables, which is more than five times larger than Northwind. Don't panic, it is just a good old customer-sales system but with more detail. Northwind deals with seafood, while AdventureWorks is about selling bicycles.
One of the biggest complaints about the previous examples is that they are not complex enough to present adequate real-life database system environments. If we just look at the partial list of tables we will get a picture:
