Long-Term Impact (1–3+ Years)
Like the previous roadmap, you are going to transition into the 1–3+ years roadmap with items that roll over from the short-term roadmap, as they will take longer than hoped and more time will be needed to complete them. Also, a lot will change during the first year, so there will be additional items that will need to be addressed that may not have originally been captured. As stated several time already, this is where you will need to be dynamic as a leader and adapt to the changing environment and requirements around you. In cybersecurity, this happens daily.
You will observe that the 1–3 year long-term roadmap starts naturally evolving into a stabilization phase with reviews and continuous improvement activities.
