Using Query Settings pane shortcutsÂ
One of the main benefits of Power Query is that every transformation is mapped and traced in the APPLIED STEPS pane. This is part of the Query Settings section, where you can see all the transformations and can perform some actions through a set of shortcuts.
The aim of this recipe is to explore the Query Settings section and explore possible activities.
Getting ready
For this recipe, you need to download the FactInternetSales
CSV file into your local folder.
In this example, we will refer to the C:\Data
folder.
How to do it…
Once you open your Power BI Desktop application, you are ready to perform the following steps:
- Click on Get Data and select the Text/CSV connector.
- Browse to your local folder where you downloaded the
FactInternetSales
CSV file and open it. A window with a preview of the data will pop up; click on Transform data. - Filter on the
