Imports

CSV imports are a valuable tool in the administrator's toolbox. They can be used to import new data into the database during the initial deployment or on an ongoing basis, such as when importing new leads into the system gathered from trade show. You can also use the import wizard to update existing data, such as updating the prices of your products or changing the item sold in specific transactions. They can even be used to execute workflows on existing records.

We'll start the chapter by focusing on the theory behind CSV imports and then illustrate it by importing three kinds of records.
