In the previous chapter, we developed the authentication module of our Let's Chat web application. In this chapter, we will develop the Chat hub module using SignalR and wrap up the coding of our web application. After that, we will have a demonstration of how it works, and learn to test and deploy it. We will learn about Docker containers and how they may be helpful. Finally, we will develop an ASP.NET Core-based Chatbot and integrate it with the Let's Chat application and Facebook. The motivation behind this chapter is to understand the testing deployment model of .NET Core applications, the Live Unit Testing feature of Visual Studio 2017, and containers, and get a sneak peek into developing a simple Bot, based on the Microsoft Bot Framework.
