Additional Useful Technologies for Azure Management

There are numerous management technologies in Azure. As you saw in this chapter, Azure Automation alone has a large number of management capabilities. Log Analytics also has a lot of functionality around management, with its various monitoring solutions that tightly integrate with Azure Automation capabilities. Also don’t forget about some of the mobile tools available. For example, the Azure application for mobile devices is very useful when you need to quickly perform management or check the state of services. With the Cloud Shell, you can even run PowerShell or the CLI from a mobile device which is part of the mobile Azure application! As shown in Figure 11.15, I’m unlikely to be typing too much on the phone keyboard; however, if I had scripts in my cloud drive (or if I was really good on a mobile keyboard, which I’m not), I could do some useful work.

The figure shows a screenshot illustrating how to use the Cloud Shell within the Azure application.
