Remote Site Settings
Remote Site Settings is a security tool provided by Salesforce that provides an administrator with control over which systems their users may connect to from their Salesforce environment. If you visit the Security | Remote Site Settings page of your environment, you will be able to see all those endpoints to which your users can connect. By default, there is an entry for ApexDevNet
in every organization (this is the original name for the Salesforce developer site, now developer.salesforce.com). In order to make our callout to the Postman Echo site, we must create a new remote site setting for the site in this area. To do so, click New Remote Site and populate the information as shown in the following screenshot:
