Summary
Phew! That was some exercise, wasn't it? We learned to tweak Liferay a bit.
Specifically, we have covered the following points:
We have renamed our portal as Cignex Neighborhood, configured the mail server, and changed the hostname to neighborhood.cignex.com.
We have enabled SSO using OpenID, so users can log in with any of their OpenID accounts.
We made it mandatory for users to accept terms before actually accessing the website.
We enabled e-mail notifications when someone's account is created, tweaked the mail template, and mail sender details.
We added a custom attribute to User, so that users can now enter their favorite sport from the My Account screen.
We integrated Liferay with OpenOffice, which will be used later on for converting documents.
Now that we are done with all the configuration stuff, we should actually start building our site, which is the discussion topic for Chapter 5, Building Your First Liferay Site.
