Exploring chat functionality to enable chat between Neighborhood members

In this section, we will explore Liferay's out of box chat functionality. Chatting is a very useful collaborative feature in the intranet scenario, where employees can collaborate over chat. Liferay Chat Portlet is shipped as a plugin, which by default will be added to the bottom of each page. Liferay Chat will require some setup, which will allow members to add other members as friends and start chatting.
