Power BI
Power BI is consistently rated as the leading BI tool in the market as it consists of a desktop application called Power BI Desktop for data model and report development, a service for hosting and distributing content, and a mobile app for consuming reports on the go. The broader Fabric workloads have adopted the foundation created by the Power BI online platform to create a portfolio of experiences all leading up to dataset and report creation. Like all the workloads discussed in this chapter, Power BI can be used independently or as part of an end-to-end solution.
The data that’s analyzed and visualized in a Power BI report can come from more than 100 data sources, including Fabric lakehouses and Fabric warehouses. The experiences are more deeply integrated than any other analytics solution available today.
