Summary
In this chapter we've discussed two of the three main categories of error handling, namely, data errors and execution errors.
We saw that handling data errors forms part of a data quality policy and that rules governing data quality can be imposed through the use of ODI constraints, a Check Knowledge Module, and either Flow or Static Control (or indeed, both).
We also walked through the use of error recycling to demonstrate some of the capabilities of ODI 11g that can assist in this area of activity.
We also took a quick look at some of the design-time error diagnostic capabilities of ODI that can come in very useful during unit testing in an iterative development process.
