Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations standard connectors or Dataverse connectors?

Now that we’ve learned a bit about connectors, I’ll try to answer the question that heads this section so that you can choose which one is best depending on your requirements.

Connectors

We will be comparing the Fin & Ops Apps (Dynamics 365) connector and the Microsoft Dataverse connector (see Figure 3.8):

If you look for fin & ops and dataverse, you will be able to select the connectors. Also, beware because there’s still the legacy Dataverse connector available. The one you need to use is the green one; the gray one is suffixed with the legacy text and you must avoid using it.

Triggers

For the Finance and Operations connector, we only have one possible trigger, the one for business events that we saw previously when we learned about automated cloud flows.
